Former Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has lost a legal challenge against sanctions imposed on him by the European Union.

The restrictions were imposed as part of measures targeting Russia following the invasion of Ukraine.

President Vladimir Putin’s close allies were also amongst those targeted with sanctions.

Abramovich also saw his claim for compensation dismissed.
