The brigade received 22 calls about the fire on the roof of a block of blacks on Ealing Road.
One of the Brigade’s 32-metre turntable ladders was used at the scene to get water on to the roof of the building.
Just were called just before quarter to six in the evening.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
