Families that were being housed at Stanwell Hotel have now been relocated outside of Spelthorne Borough.

The council was told in the summer that the Home Office would be taking over the premises to house male asylum seekers.

The authority has repeatedly voiced opposition to the move and has written to the Prime Minister and Home Secretary.

But the council leader and Radio Jackie’s own enquiries to the Home Office have so far gone unanswered.
