England and Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton’s revealed her grandfather died just two days before the start of the Women’s Euros.

She played a key role in the Lionesses retaining their title – with two saves in the penalty shootout that decided the final against Spain.

Hampton’s taken to social media to pay tribute to her grandfather saying “I hope I made you proud”.

Big crowds have welcomed the Lionesses home after their dramatic win in the final of the Women’s Euros.

Sarina Wiegman’s side landed at Southend Airport and will head to Downing Street for a special reception this evening.
