Epsom Common Local Nature Reserve has been recognised as one of the country’s best green spaces with an award.

It has won the prestigious Green Flag Award, the international quality mark for parks and green spaces, for the 18th year in a row.

The Common dates back to Saxon times and is a ‘Site of Specific Scientific Interest’ due to its rare insects and breeding bird habitat.

Cllr Liz Frost has thanked volunteers and partners saying this award is a true testament to all their hard work and dedication to the common.
