Emma Raducanu has celebrated becoming the new British tennis number one by reaching the quarter-finals at Baron’s Court’s Queen’s Club.

She eased into the last-eight with a straight sets victory over Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova.

Katie Boulter’s time ahead of Raducanu will come to an end when the rankings are updated next week, after she lost to Diana Shnaider earlier.

Heather Watson also suffered defeat to Elena Rybakina.
