Croydon’s BRIT School alumni Olivia Dean and Kae Tempest are among this year’s nominees at the Ivor Novello Awards.

Olivia could win the top prize for best album, though faces stern competition from CMAT, Lily Allen, Wolf Alice and Jim Legxacy.

Kae is up twice for best contemporary song.

The ceremony, which celebrates British and Irish songwriters and composers, takes place in London in May.
