The Conservatives are beginning their party conference in Manchester, promising to deport 150-thousand illegal migrants a year if they return to power.

The party says the new ‘removals force’ would be modelled on the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency.

Leader Kemi Badenoch’s expected to outline new plans to stop illegal migration later.

That includes plans to leave the European Convention on Human Rights.

Shadow home secretary and MP for Croydon South Chris Philp explains how the deportations will work.
