Croydon has teamed up with more than 90 other councils in releasing a hard-hitting film aimed at getting more people to consider fostering.

‘The Run’ is a 2-minute film focusing on 11-year-old Tom.

It contrasts his need to run away from a chaotic home life to finding foster parents and then excelling at running.

Croydon is home to London’s largest under-19 population and figures for early 2024 show there were 477 children in foster homes.
