Croydon has been awarded the largest UK Shared Prosperity Fund grant in London.

£1.43million will go towards improving district centres, parks, and community spaces, supporting businesses and young entrepreneurs.

Cultural events and heritage celebrations, including a tribute to composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, are also planned.

Mayor Jason Perry’s thanked people for helping shape the projects and says the funding will boost regeneration and community pride.
