They’ll be working across the borough tackling issues such as fly-tipping and abandoned or nuisance vehicles.
The officers will also be able to issue Fixed Penalty Notices, Community Protection Notices and escalate cases for prosecution.
Last year the Council spent over £1m clearing fly-tips.
