The crossing replaces a fire-damaged underpass and spans six lanes, trams, buses, and a central reservation.

It is one of 10 regeneration projects funded with £40m to improve streets, public spaces, and local amenities.

Other works include upgrades to Dingwall and George streets, plus a new green space at College Green.
