Councillors in Epsom and Ewell have confirmed the borough will remain “unparished” in the lead up to devolution.

Surrey’s 11 borough and district councils will be abolished next April and two unitary authorities created instead.

Epsom and Ewell Councillors had proposed creating an extra Parish council in the meantime to oversee the change.

But 82% of respondents to a consultation opposed the idea.
