The National Trust has released them on Exmoor’s Holnicote Estate, creating climate-resilient wetlands.
The idea has also sparked interest in Croydon, with beavers considered for South Norwood Country Park to boost biodiversity.
Beavers, which build dams and wetlands, could create “climate-resilient” habitats in the park and cities.
