College leaders from across the UK are urging the government to invest more money into the further education sector.

A first-of-its-kind letter has been sent to the prime minister.

It’s demanding the upcoming spending review gives colleges the “resources they need to thrive”.

Signatories include South Thames Colleges Group and Brooklands college, among others.

They also say the colleges can play a vital role in Labour’s plans to kick-start economic growth.
