Colin Firth says it was “emotionally challenging” to portray the experiences of those affected by the Lockerbie bombing.

The actor plays Doctor Jim Swire, who’s campaigned for justice since his 23 year old daughter Flora was among those killed in the crash in 1988.

Pan Am Flight 103 was on its way from Heathrow to New York when it was destroyed by a bomb over the Scottish town of Lockerbie.

All 243 passengers and 16 crew died as well as 11 residents on the ground.
