The Flower & Village Show began in April 1903, as a “Flower Show and Industrial Exhibition in connection with the village”.
Nowadays, the show attracts almost 6,000 people, with everything from home-grown flowers, fruit and vegetables to Morris dancers.
Mary Marshall is Chair of the Flower Show Committee, and she says the original concept lives on.
