Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has described a two-hour delay in their Club World Cup win over Benfica due to bad weather, as ‘a joke’.

They eventually won 4-1 after extra-time in Charlotte, North Carolina, but the match was suspended due to thunderstorms with four minutes left.

Maresca’s questioned the decision to hold the tournament in the USA, as there have been similar incidents in other matches.

Captain Reece James says it was an odd situation.
