Patients will receive an initial telephone call from “Dora” to discuss their upcoming procedure.
She will then call patients throughout their journey from referral to recovery, and each conversation will last around 5 minutes.
The hospital trust says it will closely monitor the implementation of Dora before possibly retaining it after the trial.
