Cat owners across Surrey are being urged to get their pets neutered.

1,400 cats were in national RSPCA care at the end of December.

That’s a 72% rise from the 832 cats that were with the charity four years ago in December 2021.

There are currently 40 cats rescued from cruelty and neglect in care at the RSPCA’s Surrey base at Millbrook Animal Centre.

Female cats can become pregnant as young as 4 months of age meaning they can go on to have multiple pregnancies.
