Campaigners fighting the redevelopment of the Motspur Park gas holder site are going to City Hall.

Kingston Council last month rejected plans to build around 580 new homes in the form of eight 16 storey tower blocks.

But the decision is now subject to a “call in” which means Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq Khan will make the final decision.

Berkeley Homes said at the time the original proposal has been refined to prioritise the area’s character and well-being.
