British Airways and Virgin are among airlines cancelling or diverting flights to the Middle East because after the strikes against Iran.

BA and Virgin suspended flights in and out of Dubai International and Al Maktoum International airport.

An overnight BA service from Heathrow to Doha was also forced to turn around mid-air and return to London.

BA said services between Heathrow and Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai or Tel Aviv might be affected for several days.
