Britain’s biggest police force will resume arresting protesters for holding signs in support of banned group Palestine Action.

The Metropolitan Police paused doing so last month after the High Court ruled the government ban was unlawful.

But the Met says arrests will begin again because an appeal against the ruling’s likely to take several months.

It means, for now, it’s a criminal offence to support Palestine Action.

Three people have been already charged, including a 71-year-old woman from West Ewell, who pleaded not guilty.
