Asylum seekers can continue living at a protest-hit Essex hotel after a local authority lost a landmark legal battle.

Epping Forest District Council’s failed to get a High Court injunction blocking their accommodation.

It argued The Bell’s owner was flouting planning rules – which the judge dismissed.

Shadow Home Secretary and MP for Croydon South, Chris Philp is encouraging them to appeal.
