As Surrey prepares to head to the polls at the Local Elections, residents are being reminded of one big change.

Because of Devolution, which is taking place in April 2027, people will not see their normal constituency on their ballot paper on May the 7th.

Surrey’s 11 district and borough councils are to be abolished.

Instead, residents are voting for their district which will eventually lie in either West Surrey or East Surrey Unitary Authority.
