As drivers prepare for another weekend closure of the Coombe Lane Flyover, questions are being asked about the timing of the works.

The busy route connects Coombe Lane West in New Malden to Coombe Road in Raynes Park.

Bridge safety maintenance is being undertaken by Transport for London every weekend until the 17th of November.

The closures have caused long delays of over three hours at peak times with drivers told to only go out if absolutely necessary.

Listeners have reported missing hospital appointments and family events and have questioned why the works cannot be done overnight.
