Another NHS hospital trust has declared a critical incident because of ‘severe and sustained pressure’ on services.

Nottingham University Hospitals joins Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals, Royal Surrey, Surrey and Sussex Healthcare and East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

Critical incidents allow a hospital to prioritise staff, money and attention towards their A&E department.
