An independent book publisher on Richmond Green is being honoured ahead of the The British Book Awards in May.

Duckworth Books, founded in 1898, has been named as one of ten regional winners of the Small Press of the Year Award.

The publisher is one of the UK’s oldest independent imprints.

It has a long history, with legendary authors such as D. H. Lawrence and Henry James included on its printing roster.
