An ex-minister responsible for the Post Office for a couple of years during the Horizon scandal has insisted it’s not his fault and that he was lied to.

The MP for Kingston and Surbiton oversaw operations in 2010 when subpostmasters were being wrongly convicted of theft and fraud.

A faulty IT system was to blame.
