An English teacher at a school in Carshalton is gearing up for the challenge of her life.

Emma Lucas from Green Wrythe Primary is to take on the London Marathon.

This year’s 26.2 mile event is taking place on Sunday, the 27th of April.

Miss Lucas, as she’s known to her pupils, says they’ve been very encouraging.
