The A&E department is to be tested on how it would respond to a chemical incident.
The exercise, scheduled for Tuesday, is part of national NHS requirements to make sure staff are prepared for all types of incidents.
Visitors are being warned they may see unusual activity and not to be alarmed as services will continue as normal.
