Renita D’Silva has been handed a two-book deal with Joffe Books, a £1,000 cash prize and a £25,000 audio deal with Audible for her book, The Neighbour.
Joffe Books Prize for Crime Writers of Colour award was established in response to the lack of diversity in crime fiction.
Its aim is to actively seek out writers from communities that are under-represented and support them in building sustainable careers.
About The Neighbour:
Newlyweds Amir and Sapna move into an all-white, middle-class neighbourhood on the edge of a bustling town. Their arrival causes a flutter of disquiet among the residents of the quiet cul-de-sac, exposing long-held secrets and upending the fragile harmony that binds them.
