An 80 year old German man is appearing in court today for trying to smuggle drugs through Heathrow Airport.

Heinz Magel flew into Heathrow from Mexico City with a stash of methamphetamine hidden in his suitcase.

He’s been charged with smuggling class A drugs after Border Force found 3.3kg of the Class A drug concealed in sweet wrappers.

Magel will appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court today.
