It took place on the 13th of March at around 7pm, outside a McDonalds in Redhill.
The teen has been sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders institution, and cannot enter the borough of Reigate and Banstead.
Inspector Alex Maguire says the incident caused a “huge amount of alarm” and they’re committed to tackling knife crime.
