It’s good news for a borough that’s been struggling with school provision recently.
Lambeth remains one of the worst affected areas in the country for falling birth rates.
1,000 fewer children are starting at primaries in Lambeth than they were a decade ago.
The borough predicts it will have a £23million deficit across its 68 council-maintained schools for the 2026/27 year.
The deadline for parents to choose their children’s secondary school is Friday.
