Network Rail says they aren’t the only ones who have been using the line as a shortcut because of ongoing works on a new footbridge.

Access to and from the train platforms from Station Road via the existing footbridge have closed until spring.

Network Rail says although there is a diversion in place for pedestrians, some are instead taking a shortcut via the live rails.
