It’s to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the murder of Jody Dobrowski in a homophobic attack.
The 24-year-old bar manager was set upon as he crossed the common and died from the injuries he sustained.
Thomas Pickford and Scott Walker pleaded guilty to murder and were sentenced to life in jail.
Jody’s murder was a landmark case in British history.
Section 146 of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 was utilised in sentencing the killers.
The Act empowers courts to impose tougher sentences for offences motivated or aggravated by the victim’s sexual orientation.
