Transport for London is to create new pedestrian crossings, a cycling route and carry out improvements to bus lanes.
The work will be undertaken in five main stages and is due to be completed by spring 2027.
72 collisions took place in the 36-month period up to October last year, resulting in injuries to 75 people.
