A thousand rental e-bikes have been seized from the streets of Kensington and Chelsea.

The action comes as a response to complaints from residents reporting them as trip hazards and highways obstructions.

The bikes are placed in storage by the council until the operator pays to have them released.

So far the authority has issued more than £81,000 in charges with the income being used to increase enforcement.
