The 16 year old was arrested on suspicion of GBH after the incident last Tuesday, on the high street, outside Poundland at 5:30pm.
The victim, another teenage boy, didn’t sustain any injuries.
There were several people there, and officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed or recorded the incident.
