The law is named after Zane Gbangbola who was seven years old, and calls for greater transparency of contaminated sites.
The motion states current UK laws on waste disposal are “a danger to human life, to our environment, and to the planet as a whole.”
An inquest ruled Zane died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Zane’s parents say it was gases from a former landfill site in their garden.
