A summer crackdown on criminality across Surrey has resulted in a series of “major successes.”

That’s according to the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Lisa Townsend.

The Safer Streets Summer initiative targeted anti-social behaviour, violence against women and girls, retail crime and violent offending.

Eleven town centres were chosen to take part, including Staines, Addlestone and Dorking.
