A second-hand car dealership has vacated a former pub in North Cheam after 18 months of complaints from residents.

The HG Wells in Cheam Common Road closed its doors in 2020 and has been derelict ever since.

Sutton Council issued an enforcement notice to the owners of the unauthorised dealership in September and they left earlier this week.

Residents are now asking the council to remove the trading signs and put barriers up to stop similar unauthorised traders from entering.
