Detective Constable Jose Poonsawat appeared for sentencing at Croydon Magistrates Court yesterday, after pleading guilty in July.
He was accused of sexually touching a woman without her consent during an off-duty incident in December 2022.
He was sentenced to a high-level community order for six months, a curfew for four months with a tag, and ordered to pay court costs.
He has also been dismissed by the Met and placed on the barred list by the College of Policing.
