The incident happened outside the Gardeners Arms pub in London Road just before 6am.
They were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where their condition is unknown.
The busy route was closed for over 7 hours, partially reopening at 1pm.
Diversion: affecting multiple bus routes: 127, 152, 201, 264, 270, 280, 355, S1.
