Four fire engines were called to a blaze at a block of flats on Queens Club Gardens just before 5:30 yesterday evening.
Part of a three roomed flat on the first floor of the four storey building was damaged by the fire.
The blaze is believed to have been accidental and was caused by a halogen lamp left too close to combustible items.
