A pastor has been charged with gross negligence manslaughter after a man died during a baptism ceremony in Birmingham.

61-year-old Robert Smith from Brixton died at an address in Erdington, in October 2023.

Cheryl Bartley – who’s 48 – is due in court on the 14th of May.
