The council has been working with volunteers to boost the habitats for amphibian species that are in decline nationally.
Deepening works have taken place at Beeline Way in New Malden and Fishponds Park in Surbiton.
Volunteers have also been planting the right water-loving plants, which can also help reduce the risk of flooding.
