A number of hay bales caught fire in Carshalton over the weekend. A stack of around 20 caught light in Woodmansterne Road on Saturday afternoon. An on-site tractor assisted in removing the bales and turning over hay so that crews could damp down hot spots. There were no reports of any injuries.
