The Horton is to receive the cash from the Your Fund Surrey Large Community Projects Fund.
The money will go towards developing the site’s grounds which have been closed to the public for three decades.
The Horton’s gardens are currently in a poor state, with uneven ground, collapsed disused tunnels and crumbling concrete.
